Spilled Cup ("we", "us", or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 39-2957932) based in South Pasadena, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
What we collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate the platform:
- Name and email address — when you create an account, register for a class, or submit a material.
- Profile information — a bio or photo, if you choose to provide one as a teacher.
- Usage data — basic request logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) retained briefly for security and debugging purposes.
We do not collect payment information. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To confirm class registrations and send related communications.
- To display teacher profiles publicly on the platform.
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on Supabase, a US-based database service. Data is stored on servers located in the United States. By using Spilled Cup, you consent to this transfer and storage.
Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the platform. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or operational reasons.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. You can download a copy of your data or permanently delete your account yourself from the Settings tab of your dashboard, or contact us at nitza@nitzas.com.
Cookies
Spilled Cup uses browser local storage (not cookies) to maintain your login session. No third-party cookies are set on this site.
Children's privacy
Spilled Cup is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
